Although the club does not train divers, it does encourage members to further their training.

As part of our safety policy, club members are required to possess specific qualifications appropriate to the depth of dive being conducted

To 25 metres – Novice UK diver

• Minimum of PADI Advanced Open Water
• PADI dry suit specialty

To 30 metres – Intermediate UK diver

• Probably a PADI Rescue Diver
• PADI Deep Diver, or thinking of undertaking shortly

To 40 metres – Advanced UK diver

• PADI Deep Diver Specialty
• PADI or DAN Oxygen Administration
• Minimum of PADI Rescue Diver
• PADI or TDI basic Nitrox, or thinking of undertaking shortly

Below 40 metres - Technical UK diver

• TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco procedures
• A small number of club divers are Trimix qualified
